THE BRIEF With direct our competitor Dunkin’ Donuts new bottled innovations hitting shelves at grocery, Starbucks needs to refresh their positioning to deliver upon our premium quality bottled brews.
THE CHALLENGE With a combination of basic product shots and digital renders at our disposal, we needed to reinvent how our portfolio of product came to life in retail.
THE SOLUTION Our first plan of action was to wipe the slate clean and treat the Starbucks bottle portfolio as if it were its first introduction into the retail market. We knew visual language was going to be the most important differentiator in store. The minute we hit their Instagram account we unlocked our ‘Ah Ha’ moment - why wouldn’t we bring all of the inspiring situations, illustrations, and language into the retail space? Why was retail always treated so functional and emotionless, while all other consumer touch points were filled with beauty and inspiration? Our team thoughtfully curated and created props, backdrops and at-home situations celebrated each craft roast within the Starbucks portfolio.
